Kate Gregory Walker, CFP®, is President and owner of Gregory Advisors Incorporated, specializing in helping clients maximize their finances through appropriate strategies, Kate is dedicated to helping people make smart financial and estate planning decisions.
After graduating with honors from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and advertising, Kate worked for several years in industrial sales. She later moved her career into finance, joining the firm in 2000. Kate took over the business in 2017 when her husband, Ted, passed away. Kate is insurance licensed in California and has earned the designation as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, the standard of excellence in financial planning.
Kate is known for her conscientious work ethic. She goes above and beyond clients’ expectations, reaching out to them when she discovers strategies that could benefit them. She helps clients get on—and stay on—a path for financial security through investment management, prudent tax planning, social security planning and estate planning. She is a careful listener and actively helps to educate clients in making important financial decisions. Experiencing the loss of her first husband Ted has made Kate acutely aware of the needs of surviving spouses. This experience has taught her firsthand how to help couples prepare for the eventuality of one of them passing away. She has been quoted in MarketWatch and NerdWallet regarding Social Security Planning.
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Kate lives in Huntington Beach, California where she and Ted raised their daughter. She serves in the FPA Orange County chapter and the CAL CPA Orange County Estate Planning Group. In her free time, Kate enjoys cooking, reading, walking Tito, her Labrador retriever, playing the piano and traveling with her second husband Don.
